Faithfulness is a very important aspect to the greeter. A greeter must be faithful to be at their assigned location on time every time they are scheduled. A door greeter or welcome center greeter must determine that no one will walk past their location without a friendly and encouraging welcome. A greeter will seek to learn the names of people who pass by their location and call them by name whenever they can. Welcome each person as if that welcome determines their impression of Rock Springs. Be faithful to ensure everyone that passes your location know how thankful and excited we are to see them at Rock Springs.

Making a difference

Door and Welcome Center Greeters are in a wonderful ministry to make a real difference in the lives of those who attend and visit Rock Springs. The difference you make by being in place on time, offering a friendly greeting to those who walk by your area, and seeking to help those needing information is very important. When someone is a first time attender they often make up their mind if they want to return in the first few minutes they are on our campus. As a greeter at a door or welcome center, you may the friendly difference a guest or member may need. Be the one to make the difference!

It is a real joy to serve in the First Impressions Ministry as a entrance greeter or Welcome Center greeter. We want everyone who attends Rock Springs to know how excited we are that they have chosen to attend. It is such a blessing to let our guests and members know how happy we are to see them. Follow these helps to great greeting.

1. Be at your assigned location no later than the designated time.

2. Smile, speak to, and give a friendly greeting to everyone who enters your door or walks past you in the hallway.

3. Speak to everyone you see.

4. Look around to seek out people to speak to.

5. Wear your greeter name tag.

6. Dress neatly and professionally.

7. Continue to greet if you run out of bulletins. Remember you are there to greet, not just hand out bulletins.

8. Watch for people who appear to need assistance. Help them to a Welcome Center for assistance in locating a Bible Fellowship class, nursery, or other ministry.

9. Remain at your location through the designated time.

10. Remember we only have one chance to make a great first impression on our guests and members.

First Impressions

Our greeting and welcome center ministries are named, "First Impressions ministries." We all have experienced the impact of a first impression. They have a lasting effect on us. Each person who enters Rock Springs will have their own first impression of our church. Our goal is to help each person who attends know that Rock Springs is glad they are here! As they enter your door be careful to share a welcoming smile and a cheerful, "great to see you today!" Look for people to speak to as they walk down the hallway past your door. God will bless your faithfulness and enthusiam.
